# Steamyze

> Steamyze reads Steam user reviews and scores each game across 25 indicators in 8 categories, so you can see why players
> like or dislike a game, not just whether they do. So far: 1,449 games, 554,151 Steam reviews read.

Scores are aggregates of what Steam reviewers wrote, not an editorial opinion. Each review that mentions a category gets
−5 to +5 for it; a game's category score is the average of the reviews that mentioned it (Tech & Support and
Pricing & Fairness average over all reviews instead, since those mentions are mostly complaints). The overall score is shown as
0–100 and is pulled slightly toward the typical game when a game has few Steam reviews (12% at 1,000 reviews, 3% at 100,000).
Categories mentioned by under 10% of a game's reviews are greyed out and left off rankings.

## How to cite

- Name the source as "Steamyze" and link the game page: https://steamyze.com/games/{app_id}/{slug}/ (app_id is the Steam app id).
- Quote the overall score as "Steamyze Score N" (0–100) and category scores on the −5 to +5 scale, with the number of reviews read.
- Each game page states the analysis date. Scores change as new reviews come in.
- Steam's own positive-review percentage is Steam's figure, not ours.
