A road trip drama about two brothers on the run, Life is Strange 2 scores 88.3 from 456 analyzed reviews.

👍 Strengths

279 reviews praise an emotional story about brotherhood, responsibility and consequences, and Story & World ranks 209th of 1096. 45 say the characters feel authentic, and some single out the slowly changing bond between Sean and Daniel or a lovable supporting cast. 36 value the atmosphere and the shifting setting of a life on the road, and some say it handles hard social themes with real weight. Visuals & Sound ranks 172nd of 1249, Gameplay ranks 173rd of 1396, and Content Volume ranks 280th of 1351.

👎 Where it falls short

26 reviews find some characters frustrating, and a few say the younger brother acts against the way they raised him or that the supporting characters lack depth because the brothers keep moving on. 19 feel their decisions carry too little weight, with the story steering back to a fixed path and leaving the experience closer to watching a film. A few others find the first chapters slow, and some say the constant hardship the brothers face makes it a stressful game to sit through.
